Old Dairy

The Old Dairy scheme regenerates an old hospital car park to provide high-quality temporary housing for the London Borough of Croydon. There are 115 new homes – apartments, maisonettes and houses – plus a residents’ lounge, study areas and gardens with a secure children’s play area and a concierge reception. There’s also a communal landscaped courtyard, flexible community space with a café for residents and the wider neighbourhood, and an adaptable area for NHS services.

Working with Social Capital Partners, the socially conscious development company, we procured this unique sui generis ‘of its own kind’ scheme. The design is inspired by the surrounding neighbourhood and will help to regenerate the area, positively impacting new residents and the existing community. Works will include the demolition of and re-diversion of two substation buildings.
